Weekly Cultural Classes conducted by Ramana Maharshi Centre for Learning

“Know Yourself through Indian Theatre Arts”

Our Philosophy : Cultural classes at RMCL harness the power of Indian Theatre Arts as a tool for holistic development. Special emphasis is given on the divine purpose of Indian Heritage. Indian Theatre, Natya includes Music, Dance, Drama, Storytelling and Arts & Crafts. Natya gives us an opportunity to experience the various facets of life in a safe environment like a class or stage. The practitioners of theatre arts get a deeper purpose of various activities and interactions that they perform.
Students get to learn all the aspects of Indian theatre under one roof which leads to the holistic development of the child.

Opportunities : The students get minimum of two opportunities to perform in an academic year. Selected students get to perform in various prestigious platforms. Senior Students are given opportunities to be a part of dance ballets and interact with senior dancers. As they mature in their dance skill they are absorbed into the dance theatre troupe of the Centre and get to perform in major productions choreographed by Kalaimamani Dr.Ambika Kameshwar presented in different parts of India. All students are given ample opportunities to witness performances by eminent gurus and dance ensembles at the Centre’s cultural festivals.

Examinations : Students are trained to appear for examinations conducted by Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai, and Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board. Students of the Centre have successfully completed Junior and Senior exams conducted by KSEEB with Distinction.

Deserving students are given scholarships and special training.
